We had a good week. Tue Ash took Dorian to the zoo. They had a lot of fun. Luckily the rain held off that morning. It has been raining almost all week. They picked up a zoo pass, so now we can go whenever we want and monkey around! We had Dorians friends Avery & Charlize over on Wed for a play date. They had a lot of fun running around and being loud. We had a nasty storm last night. We did not loose power, but a lot of people are still without power around the area.

This weekend we are going to Dorians friends James' bday party. Then Sun we are going to the zoo lights with Bud & mom and also cousin Meagan. We are all excited to go.

Here are some photos.
1- Dorian on his trampoline. He loves jumping and acting like a ninja.
2- The most beautiful thing in the world.
3- Dorian monkeying around at the zoo.
4- Found this pic and could not hold back putting it up. My two favorite boys in the world. Dorian was about 10 months old.

Dorian had his 4 year check up yesterday. Alittle late but the office is always booked up. He did really well. He is now:

41 Inches/104 Centimeters tall
38 pds/ 17.24 Kilos

He passed his hearing and eye tests with flying colors.
She said he is right on target with all development.
He still has his heart murmur, but she says its innocent. She said he will grow out of it and it could come and go with age. Ashar has the same thing. When we went in he brought his new power ranger that his grandpa from California got him while he was visiting and accidentally left it in the waiting room and when we came out it was gone! Some little person must have snagged it. Dad took him after the appt and got him another one. He was quite upset and was saying "that was my special green ranger my grandpa got me, that's not nice some boy took it!".
After we got home we got out all the ornaments for the tree! Dorian had alot of fun. He got to put the star on top, and also showed how he "was the star"!

Here we are carving our pumpkins! Dorian really enjoyed cutting it.
He however did not like the inside! Dad got all the yucky stuff out and then mom made the faces and then he cut them out. Dorians is the "scary" one. Thats Kait the little girl we watch in the backround!

The far right is the mason jar pumpkin he made with tissue paper.
The face cant be seen as its not facing the correct way.

They all came out very cute!

Sorry it has been so long since we have updated the blog. We have been busy.
Unfortunately, my grandpa passed away Sept 15.
It was very unexpected, and I miss him dearly.
We all drove down to California for the services which were very nice. We got to say good bye to a wonderful man, my grandpa. He lived in the same city as my dad and we got to see them and also some other family. So that was nice, we all got to do it together. Here are a few pics of the trip. First on is Erins Dad, Dorian and Erin playing the keyboard in his studio, Dorian and Erins dads dog, his name is Bear and he his HUGE! Then Erins dad, brother, Erin, Dorian, Erins mom and Ash at dinner then last Dorian blowing a big bubble!

Well, no pictures this post. Our digital camera broke last weekend! We were at the park and dropped it! Hopefully we can get one this week. Everything has been going well.
Last week I started watching the little girl I watch after school. We also went to the new park in Wilsonville which is a town about 10 mins away. The park is really great! It has a rock climbing wall, a huge volcano type climber with sand all around, 2 sand boxes one of which has actually water that runs into it to make sand castles! And, a huge slide that is built into the ground. There is also a water park there. So, its alot of fun!

Dorian has been a huge chatter box. He talks and talks and talks...you get my drift!
He talks about alot of stuff and some stuff you wonder where in the world he heard or came up with it! He loves catching bugs and looking at them in his bug catcher. He also loves playing with his cars.

This week we have a busy schedule. Tuesday Ash and mom are taking Dorian to the zoo.
Then on Wed my friend Jessica and her 2 kids and Dorian and I will be going to the Oregon Garden for there Homeschool Day. There will be a bunch of activities for the kids to do. It should be alot of fun, I have never been there. Then Saturday night we head to Champoege park to camp out in our tent. Mom and Bud will be there along with Doug and Robin and there 2 grandkids and I think Jessica and her hubby and kids will come down for Sat dinner. It should be alot of fun! Dorian will be starting his preschool curriculum end of September or early October, whenever we receive it in the mail. We think he should enjoy it!

Sad and shocking news came yesterday as most people know.
Steve Irwin AKA The Croc Hunter passed away.
It hits home for us, Dorian just loved watching Wiggly Safari with Steve. We love watching the croc hunter as well.
The world has lost a great man and the greatest advocate for animals.
And, of course most of all Terri has lost her husband and Bob and Bindi have lost a wonderful dad.

We have to brag! Today Dorian for the first time wrote letters! It was so odd since he was just coloring a picture in and then suddenly said "This is an L, this is a R and this is an O!" And wrote all three letters in a row. In the picture its left to right: L, R and O.
We were so shocked he just came out and did that all on his own! Posted by Picasa
